ImageFixr started with a small annoyance: most "free" image tools online aren't really free. You crop a photo, go to download it, and suddenly there's a watermark, a sign-up wall, or a "3 free exports" counter. Worse, a lot of them quietly upload your picture to a server you know nothing about. We wanted the opposite of that, a place where you can do one quick image job, get a clean file back, and move on with your day.
So that's what this is: a growing collection of single-purpose tools for the everyday image tasks that shouldn't require Photoshop. Round off a profile picture into a circle. Pull the background out of a product shot. Tidy up a screenshot before you post it. Line up a folder of mismatched team headshots so they finally look like a set. Each tool does one thing, and tries to do it well, without making you read a manual first.
Your photos never leave your device
This is the part we care about most. When you drop an image into one of our tools, it isn't sent anywhere. The editing happens right inside your browser tab, the same way a calculator app does its math on your phone instead of phoning home. For the simple crops we use the browser's built-in HTML5 Canvas; for the heavier AI jobs like background removal we load a small machine-learning model into your browser with WebAssembly and run it locally.
The practical upshot is threefold. It's private, because we literally never receive your image, so we couldn't leak or misuse it even if we wanted to. It's fast, because nothing has to travel up to a server and back. And it keeps working on a flaky connection: once the page has loaded, most tools run fine even if your wifi drops. There's no cost for us to store your files, which is a big reason we can keep everything genuinely free.

It's free, and there isn't a catch we're hiding. No account, no trial countdown, no watermark stamped on your download. The site is supported by unobtrusive ads, which is what lets us keep the tools themselves free for everyone.
Will my photos be uploaded or saved somewhere?
No. Everything runs in your browser, so your images never reach our servers. There's nothing for us to store or delete because we never had a copy in the first place. When you close the tab, it's gone.
Do I have to install an app or sign up?
No to both. ImageFixr is just a website. Open the tool you want, drop in your image, and download the result. It works the same on a phone, tablet, or laptop.
Which file types can I upload?
JPG, PNG, GIF, WebP, and AVIF all work. Anything that needs see-through corners, like a circle-cropped avatar, comes back as a PNG, because that's the format that can store transparency.
Does cropping or editing lower my image quality?
The crop itself doesn't degrade anything; we keep your original pixels and just mask the parts you don't want. The sharpness you end up with depends mostly on the resolution you start from, so it's always worth uploading the largest version of a photo you have.
